Our Church History  


It was with great excitement on Sabbath, 11th March, 2006 that Preston Church
were given the news that had been so long awaited.

Pastor Kevin Johns announced “We have our Church building.”

Among the shouts of “Praise the Lord” and “Hallelujahs”,
were cheers, laughter, clapping and sheer elation as the congregation joined in singing
‘Praise Him, He’s worthy to be praised’.

For over a year, we had been holding our services either at the
Plungington Community Centre or the Gutteridge Memorial Church.

We often compared ourselves to the children of Israel,
wandering in the desert with no place to call our own.

In March, Preston Church relocated to a building which is now big enough to meet our needs.
We are now located at the former United Reform Church based at Grimshaw Street, Preston.
It is just a few minutes walk from the Preston Bus Station on Tithebarn Street.

Praise God for answered prayers.
